During the walk, we explore the northern central part of the city center of Budapest. The walk takes approximately two hours, progressing comfortably. The route is a mix of cultural, historical, park-like, or romantic atmospheres, with both hidden and less hidden sculptures and tactile maps, ensuring that everyone will enjoy it.
The entire walk is wheelchair-accessible, so no one is excluded, what’s more, there are no steeper sections. You can also come with a guide dog, and one companion can join the walk for free per person with a disability. The guide is trained for guiding the visually impaired and can assist with wheelchair navigation. Additionally, depending on the number of assistants needed, we can provide multiple helpers after prior coordination.
The meeting point is at the ground floor entrance of the Kossuth Lajos tér M2 metro station. For the visually impaired tourists with a guide dog, the meeting point is easily accessible by M2 metro. For those, who are using a wheelchair or a guide dog, it is a 15-minute walk from the low-floor trams 4 or 6 at Széna tér station, bypassing the escalator. We start from the Parliament, passing through Liberty Square, Deák Ferenc Square, Fashion Street, Vörösmarty Square, Váci Street, Danube Promenade, Square of the Franciscans, and visit the Dohány Street Synagogue. The final destination is Szimpla Kert, a famous ruin pub with the adjacent Karaván Street Food paradise. The final destination is a 10-minute walk from the Astoria M2 metro station, or a 10-minute walk from the low-floor trams 4 or 6 at Wesselényi utca / Erzsébet körút tram stop.
