DiversiGO is an organization that offers sightseeing opportunities currently in English and Hungarian, where we pay attention to the needs of our mobility impaired, visually impaired and hearing impaired visitors with unique care from the very beginning. All our guides must participate in a preparatory and attitude-shaping process put together by us and several associations (e.g. ELTE Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Needs Education and Hungarian Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted), so that they become qualified guides. It consists of the following steps:
1 – interview
2 – test on the information required for guiding people with any impairments
3 – trial walk: guiding one of our visually impaired team members through a section of one of our real walks
4 – test on the information to be presented on our walks
We currently have 4 routes in Budapest of different lengths, where groups of a maximum of 5 people can apply and 1 qualified guide will lead the group through it. The walks are private and since they are small groups, we can ensure the maximum attention and flexibility according to any needs. On prior consultation and request before booking, we can accept groups of more than 5 people, or if possible, we can provide several qualified guides, or bring extra sign language interpreters to the walk. You can write an email about any questions or request about booking to info@diversigo.com .
Online maps and materials containing information, stories, and interesting facts about the completely accessible routes containing many tactile sculptures help our walking guides prepare. They will be able to provide our tourists a great experience just by learning these materials, but of course our guides add their own extra knowledge and personality to the walks as well. In addition to providing the fundamental background information, the focus is on the experience, so our walking guides will assist you with ice cream and coffee at any place you prefer. Of course, the maps and the materials containing the background information of the walks are all the property of DiversiGO and their unauthorized distribution and use is legally prohibited, but at the http://diversigo.com/en/education page, the fundamental information about people with disabilities and impairments can be viewed publicly.
The times and dates, when our guides want to work are decided entirely by themselves, there are no minimum expectations from us. Therefore our visitors can only book a timeslot, when our qualified guide is guiding with great enthusiasm.
Moreover, we offer the following refund guarantee:
– If a walk is cancelled after booking for any unexpected reason due to us and our guides, the full amount paid will be refunded to the bank account provided by the customer. Also, if the customer prefers, we will try to substitute the booked guide with another qualified guide of ours.
– If the walk is cancelled by the customer more than 48 hours before the walk, the full amount paid will be refunded to the bank account provided by the customer.
– If the walk is cancelled by the customer more than 24 hours before the walk, half of the amount paid will be refunded to the bank account provided by the customer.
– If the walk is cancelled by the customer less than 24 hours before the walk, there will not be any refund from us.
– If a special circumstance prevents the customer from participating in the walk, the full amount paid will be refunded to the bank account provided by the customer, on a case-by-case basis.
